| After years of waiting finally, in 1941, Norfolk men were installed as the 6th chapter of the National Association of Guardsmen. There was hesitancy among the Eastern group concerning a chapter entertaining in the "Deep South". The installation was held in the home of Aileen and Mike Spiller, and the charter was presented by the Mother Chapter, Brooklyn. |
